I don't know if you guys have seen, but Tennesee (and surrounding states)just got hit hard by intense rainfall, which caused several rivers to flood. Downtown Nashville is flooded severely. More close to home, one of my closest friends' house is probably flooded (They had to leave), and the place she works in flooded as well. So she's out a home and a job, and this is the story for tons of other people.

It's a horrible situation. Really makes me stop and think about how all those tornadoes, hurricanes, etc didn't really phase me because they didn't hit anyone close to me. Now, all I can see is all these people whos lives have crumbled and there was nothing they could do about it.

So, thoughts and prayers for the flood victims, please. Or victims of anything, really. They're all people.

Most definitely, on all points.

They had a big flood up my way a month or so ago. People living on a flood plane, but this year it was 1000 times worse -- coincidentally a big developer has stripped a huge chunk of land up the mountain to build overpriced second and third homes for baby boomers ... but that couldn't possible have anything to do with the excess runoff this year could it
Water came right up over the barriers. I have friends with $20,000 repair bills. So, much sympathy.
