i got this behemoth mic cable, among some other things at a estate sale
check it:






its 100 feet i think; my thought is to buy some connectors and cut it up into 25 or 20 foot cables and solder them together, and get like five mic cables for three dollars.

is this doable or is there something about mic cables that i don't know about that makes this hard?

As far as cutting it up, if you're good at making cables, yeah...otherwise, I'd be afraid of bad connections.

yeah i've been trying to think of ways to use it and i cant. besides doing like found soundscape things. like recording streams or birds or some shit.
