What's the trashiest, reediest, most trebly fuzz that I can buy or build?
Also, why does decaf coffee suck so much balls? where's the kick?! :grumpy:

Also - you should make a Montreal fuzz called the Poutine Dream.

Disaster Fuzz is a good one, also the black Vox tone benders from the 90's.

I think the Vox tonebender is more along the lines of what I'm looking for. Thanks, guys!
Now I gotta find a perf layout...

Here is my only recording of the vox [I traded it years ago] http://www.myspace.com/thatbandyouhate/music-player?sindex=7.0&shuffle=true&amix=false&pmix=false&plid=7194&artid=2600567&sseed=55605&ptype=3&stime=0&ap=1&rpeat=false
Other then the drumz and voice samples every track on the song was a P bass through the Vox. I had to EQ the crap out of it to get any lowz.

The fuzz gun is awesome... i missed the one here on b/s/t.
But it's definitely not trashy and trebly, though I suppose you could set it that way.

I'm looking for the trashiest early 60's garage fuzz that you can imagine. I'm thinking Vox Tonebender, run at 7.5v should do quite nicely.

Yup the Vox is pure 60's trash. From what I remember [I read this after trading it  ] there s one resistor that makes it so trebly and cheap sounding. It had germ tranies. And it would do Satisfaction with any guitar through any amp...

I really want to know what the guitarist from Crass used, haha...

the one who did the more rhythmic (and very rudimentary) playing in the band...

Shit was SOOOOO brittle... I love it.

Easily the trashiest fuzz I've ever heard. So awesome sounding.

You want trashy trebly check out a Mosrite Fuzzrite or better yet a clone like an Ashebass Fuzzbrite or Mahoney Acid Tone. Tons of treble, kinda hard to tame in a live setting but fun stuff. It's that 60s garage fuzz you've heard and loved....

Build a Shin Ei Companion Fuzz. Really nasty filth. In the same family as the Fuzzrite. Pretty easy to build.

White Spider. Texture counter clockwise, and turn the boost on.

It's trashier than any other fuzz, I guarantee it.

A Foxx Tone Machine can get pretty damn trashy!
