The White Mice

Probably one of the most entertaining and amazing live shows you'll ever see. Full of puns and noise, from Providence, RI. It's a three-piece, comprised of bass, drums, and oscillators. However, they've had guitar and other noises added live. The vocals sound like a mix of power-violence band Crossed Out and an acid trip. Three giant white mice perform songs that are the definition of minimal, but you wouldn't think that on account of the noises being generated throughout. So many overtones and undertones come out that it becomes hard to know which way is up. Watching them, you can't help but smile throughout the set. This was my third show seeing them and was definitely their best in my opinion. Earlier, they were noisy, overall. The drums were drowned out, vocals were lost, the bass was constantly feeding back and the oscillators were just an overall layer with no real direction...it was great! Now they seem to be aware of levels. The electronics are composed and consistent and have more structure. To fix the drum problem, the drummer took at marching bass drum sawed it in half and drilled baby doll legs in it to stand it up. That's his kick drum. Now the old kick drums is on it's side with legs popping out of it, because it's now a floor tom. Every cymbal comes complete with a saw on top of the bell.
Overall this band is pushing music in a direction it needs to be pushed. If you're going to get any album I'd suggest all of them of course since they all have a different overall feel. ASSPhIXXXEATATESHUN, their debut on Load is very noisy and has some solid doom riffs. Ganjahovadose, their latest album, is very noisy and has some solid doom riffs.
Here's the latest set I saw them play:
