Yeah the technology is amazing, but does this creep anyone else out?

Peter Molyneux, the nicest man that makes bizarre games.

pretty amazing. I think it's great that there are still devs who want to do weird stuff. it sparks innovation!
whats creepier than the game itself is how Peter has so many photos and statuettes of the kid in his office

When I visited Pixar I saw a ton of models of characters for Finding Nemo since that was in development at the time. I don't think it's all that surprising that Molyneux has that many. It's Peter Molyneux for crying out loud, the same guy that made Fable and Black & White.

Science Fistion has indeed written about this before and even went so far as to make it an intergal part of one of the best television shows ever, STAR TREK! Uhm... the Holodeck? Remember that?
This is a baby version of that idea. An interactive playspace, with charaters that have personalities. And an environment that reacts to your movements. I don't think this is at all creepy - in fact, I think this is brilliant. It looks like a very cool thing to try and it's a hell of a lot less dangerous than the Veldt. I loved the way she could interact with the water and that her reflection in said water was seemingly perfectly matched to her real life movements, ripples and all!

...I guess real life interaction wasn't good enough.
The "wow" factor from technology has worn off. These flashy things are a disappointment since they are amazing, yet contribute nothing whatsoever but a mere, "Oh that's neat".

I think he'd be a fun guy at a stoner party.
Bjut it just creeps me out because in most movies when a robot is imitating a human it usually turns sadistic and takes over its own operating system.
I can just see someone with Milo and they turn the xbox off, then it kicks back on with MNilo staring at you "you tried to turn me off? why did you do that?"

Have to wonder how much of Natal will translate into future games...
I saw a demo vid of Natal where they show how accurate the system is at reading body movements, it was really impressive and detailed. Way above and beyond the wiiwaggle crap and playstation move.
But at this point in the cycle, games are pushing systems near their limits...I bet Natal sucks up a decent amount of system resources so I dunno how they'll work around that without the games suffering.
Or maybe the games will suffer and they'll go all Nintendo.

On the plus side, this could bring my dream of a competition ballroom dancing game that much closer to being reality

90% of the creepiness is him being a boy with an english accent. reminds me of something straight out of a horror movie.

That looks extremely boring. Like... a babysitting video game. Where's the guns? Where's the violence? D :
