How do you get vomit stains out of a white shirt?

I want to wear my Hyperion shirt again, but the first time I wore it... I decided drinking was a good idea.

Long story short, how do I get the stains out? They've been there a long time. >.>

Throw it in the wash with lots of soap? That's how I usually get stuff clean.

It's been washed a few times and the stains are still there.

Looks like some blood, too. Which makes me thing I had a better time than I remember.

Quick google search gave me this:

Washable Fibers
Follow these steps to remove vomit stains from Acrylic, Fabric, Cotton, Linen, Nylon, Olefin, Polyester, or Spandex:

Quickly scrape to remove solids.
Soak the stain in a solution of 1 quart warm water, 1/2 teaspoon liquid detergent, and 1 tablespoon ammonia.
Tamp (the method of bringing a brush down with light strokes on stained durable fabrics and materials) or scrape to help loosen the stain. Blot occasionally with an absorbent pad.
Rinse well with water, making sure to remove all ammonia traces.

Sounds like a pain, but I bet it would work.

Only if it hasn't dried in or worse been crosslinked on by shoving in the drier.
At this point, the best bet is to take off and nuke the whole site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
And buy a new shirt.
And don't drink so much next time.
And never drink snakebite and blackcurrant. Ever. (That was the goth drink of choice when I were a lad, and every student flat I was ever in had an indelible purple puke splatter somewhere).
:picard:

Snake and Black is awesome... they're not even allowed to serve it in pubs here anymore, you have to order 3 seperate glasses with beer, cider and some black in if you want it... but it does end in :barf:

The problem is it really just looks dirty.

It happened in February of last year. Doesn't seem like that long ago. >.> I guess it's a lost cause. :grumpy:
