So this arrived today all the way from Spain.
It was built for me by Fausto from the D*A*M forums.
It keeps the low end even in the Top mode.
It sounds killer and even with the amp turned way down it retains the feel of a cranked tube amp.
You know that soft compression and touch response you only get with a cranked tube amp.
It has 300 DC so runs the tubes like they were designed to run.
More to come.

A friend of mine just picked one of these up recently as well. Said it was the "end all" box. I can't afford it

Happy NPD, the Valve Klipper is indeed one of the few pedals that made me really curious lately! The Gutshoot looks epic and when this dude is really from spain this would be a big + for me cause i hate oversea shipping with stupid customs ontop as a resident of the EU... Does Fausto have a Homepage, Blog, Myspace or something like this?

Man, that is gorgeous. I've seen 'em before (I think NewarkWilder has one), but they take my breath away every time I see 'em again. Even the gutshots are beautiful to my non-electronics-savvy eye.

Yes Newark has one and Fausto is indeed in Spain.
Toledo in fact
Here is a link to the thread.
http://stompboxes.co.uk/forum/viewtopic ... 59&start=0I believe the list is still open so take the leap.
It cost me 440 EU which is something like kilometers or liters
Any way lots of US dollars.
It’s even better looking in person btw, and just sounds perfect with every bass and amp I’ve tried.
I was expecting I’d want to do some tube swapped being anal and all but the JJs in there sound incredible.
I am going to have to take notes and write up a review.
I also plugged a P90 guitar into a couple of Fenderish amps and managed (ineptly) everything from cork sniffing blues to Led Zeppelin tones.

congrats! that is pretty freaking killer. side note, wouldn't it be easier to discuss the pedals Newark
doesn't have?

Doesn’t the Tubescreamer already have it’s own thread?

I wouldn’t call this a head room type of preamp (It is a preamp really).
I think it will all depend on how much boost your amp’s front end can take before going into overdrive.
The only active bass I have is my Jag, and I was only playing around with the over driven sounds and through tube bass amps which aren’t really known for clean head room.
