Been looking into it a bit more lately. I had a hog at one point that i flipped to fill out the rest of my right now i'm hunting again. I need something for textures useful and more outlandish sounds, would like generic whammy sounds maybe, as well as harmonies
Pog/pog2 (doesn't do treadle shifting, but everyone seems to love it)
Pitchfactor? (pretty much epic but at a price)
whammy?
boss shifters?
what does everyone find the most useful
Thanks

Man, I really needed a solid tracking device like that. Would you say your issues with it were personal or were they things you feel most people would not like, other than board real estate.

Yeah my issues with the HOG were completely personal. I personally felt that i wouldn't use enough of the features in the thing to justify the money spend and the space it needed. It does what it does very well and if you want organ sounds this thing is great, as well as cello, treadle whammy stuff, expression controlled filter etc etc etc. I don't like the organ stuff so i found myself using the sliders very sparingly to avoid this. I also didn't thing the freeze glis expression setting lived up to the hype as its very fidgety to get it to do the portamento properly.
It does track phenomenal well and might be exactly what you need.
I do miss it sometimes but i think i can find something else that fits what i need better. It seriously comes down to what you need and want.

If you didn't like the HOG just because of pedal space, I'd say go for the POG2

Digitech Harmony Man is probably the coolest one i've seen... not cheap though.

Zcat pedals has these two pedals called the Pitch shifter and the Poly-octaver. The poly-octaver is a copy of the mini POG and the pitch shifter seems interesting too. I've got two pedals from the guy, and the quality is superb. They aren't analog, and they don't even try to sound too analogy, but they're still great pedals with true bypass, and they're really cheap too.

I was just gonna say - BOSS HR-2 (Harmonist) is great! And put that thing a feedback loop and you have the craziest swelling digital organ synth sounds ever.
