Single coill humbuckers

Out of curiosity, what is the difference in sound between single coil humbuckers and actual humbuckers if they were the same model? For instance the Seymour Duncan JBs

The single coil size ones should be brighter, since they don't pick up as wide an area as a normal size humbucker.
Does that explanation make sense?

dunno about sound but I would've never thought having three humbuckers would look so gay :/

Actually, if they're the same model, the company may create the two completely different, and make the single coil size version incredibly muddy for a single coil, to get more of a humbucking sound...

Never understood the three humbuckers. Brightness is what I like.
