I'm listening to Punkgasm and it's awful! American Don and Don Caballero 2 are where it's at!

I'll take World Class Listening Problem, thanks. Pretty much their best stuff, even if it isn't the original crew. "Sure We Had Knives Around" is the best Don Cab song, hands down.

I still fucking LOVE "June is Finally Here" and "Details On How To Get ICEMAN On Your License Plate" though.

Yeah, Punkgasm is really sad. I can tolerate some of World Class Listening Party, but Punkgasm, bleck!

I was wondering about that "new" DC. Alas.

"What Burns" will forever be my fave... I saw them live around that time, and it was crazy-go-nuts. Got to see the soundcheck, and that was almost worth the entire price of admission - one guy had to have the other guitar but not the bass in his monitor, the bass player had to have only so much of one guitar and so much of the other in his monitor, the other guitarist had to have a little of the first guitarist and a lot of the bassist... and Damon Che had to hear IT ALL!!!! I would not have wanted to be that soundman...

Haha, that's interesting. I really like the music a lot. I wish I was listening to that when it came out instead of radio alternative and Korn.

I don't see why people dislike World Class Listening Problem. It's pretty much new Don Cab stretching themselves. Sure, it's not the "real" Don Cab, but I think it's their most polished work from both a recording standpoint as well as musically. They go into new territory and make it work, unlike Punkgasm which felt forced and didn't have the same feeling as the rest of the Don Cab albums.

I'm still kicking myself that I never got to experience the original Don Cab crew live, especially since Damon's drumming is absolutely stellar.

Storm and Stress is fucking amazing, btw. I wholeheartedly recommend Ghosts & Vodka and OXES as well. Loves me some maths.

I got Tras, EP B & EP C by Battles. Can't say I enjoyed Mirrored as much as the EPs though.
