i've been dying to post about my twosome on ILF since i got it a month ago.... thanks to our good friend modernage who turned me onto it, i no longer have need for searching out vintage muffs.... aside from my workhorse lust i have absolutely no urge to purchase new fuzz....

Image

had the day off from work today and spent a good portion playing the following through my 4x10 bassman:

jazzmaster > SHO clone > Twosome (switching between Musket/fix'd) > Cheddar Cheese Fuzz clone > Radical Red Reverberator > Bassman

i swear i traveled through time... because to me it felt like twenty minutes, but i missed lunch....

I LOVE THOSE WHITE KNOBS OF YOURS ! :omg:
I might replace mine now that I've seen this, I'm sure you have a better visibility of them when you play a show.

Mine is an alt version... It's an orange sparkle kind of copper thing the pic does it no justice

deadman I owe you for a number of good advice moments but this one was by far your best...

Kyle, do tell I would also love to know how to mod it for switchability!!

I know that the Twosome is a bit less expensive than getting a Fix'd Fuzz and a Musket, but why did you change it so you can't have both the Musket and the Fix'd Fuzz on at the same time? The one thing that all fuzz is good for is stacking, and when you make two great fuzzes, it's almost a crime to put them in the same box but can't put them on at the same time.

Then again, I think a better question is which fuzz the creators prefer. Musket or Fix'd Fuzz (or Mantra)?

Something like this is a good start:
http://www.beavisaudio.com/techpages/Pe ... itcher.htm

So, input jack > 3pdt toggle (order switcher) - you don't need a 4pdt like that diagram. Pretend the send/return a/b in the diagram are actually the two stompswitches. Use a traditional true-bypass wiring diagram for those. Then order switcher toggle > output jack.

You'll need to rewire the LEDs as well, so that the third pole of each stomp turns on/off their respective red LED. Wire up the yellow LED so that it's always on when a power supply is connected.

It might be easier to start with two brand new stomps, but if you're ginger with your iron you could reuse the existing ones.

If you guys have questions as you go along I'll answer them here so its up for all to see.
