Not my style but it's just paint. The result of routers and saws on other old instruments (XIIs, especially for some reason) is a bit less reversable.

If it were half the price, it would totally be worth buying and sanding down...

That is an absolute atrocity.

Nothing another refin could fix.

I'd say make an offer since it is still a '65 JM, which should still sound killer no matter what paintjob is on it. Then again, the tone might be in the paint, like how tone is all about the enclosure for pedals.
