I have a bunch of questions.

-Which do you like better? I adore the sound of the PH-1r, but the Final Phase seems a lot more versatile. I'm talking about the reissue FP, not an original.
-Do any of you have samples of the Final Phase? I would really like to hear it and some of the freakier aspects of it as well, I heard it could self-oscillate
-Are they 2 totally different beasts? Should I just get a PH-1r for some classic phasin' and a Final Phase for some freakin' out and alternate phase toans? I might actually, they both are really getting to me

i had a boss ph-2 that was actually really sweet. i sold it and kind wish i had it back now.

Not sure, but I've heard soundclips of it and it's pretty much the same as the original except for true bypass and a more modern distortion

I might just go with the PH-1r in my effects loop with a true bypass looper (early Boss buffers suck) and run the ADA before distortion, it's the best of both worlds
