said that my AB-Synth had to be a digital pedal. I went through a rush of emotions as I turned to face him, at first I was offended at this, a millisecond later I was curious, then I just found it hilarious. This is the same guy who told me that my Devis, back when I had 3 or 4 at once, sucked because they all did the same thing. He's also the douche that buys Boss pedals because he claims "their true bypass is the best."
So I had to question him, I tried not being a douche about it but I couldn't hide the condescending smile :/
He said it was digital because he could hear the difference between analog and digital pedals.
oh yeah he also had a discussion with someone else about how EHX stuff is awesome but so hard to use....talking about a memory boy....

This person needs to be cleansed from the face of the planet, No face palm can put accross my emotions at this moment, not even Patrick Stewart

100% analog. I bet those oscillation octave downs or something were throwing him off (or just lack of understanding about the oscillation world).
Anyway, one look inside would show him that the thing is nowhere near digital. Pure analog silicon and some clever wiring!

Haha.

Show him the guts, then show him his own for being so blatantly stupid.

Hearing the difference between Analog and digital... he can obviously hear what he thinks are digital artifacts from the glitching... not the compression and sterile tone that most of us probably associate with digital which isn't even a problem too often anymore except in certain effects, try sticking a knitting needle in his ear and see if his hearing improves.
And don't get me started on BOSS... obviously not true bypass and more than 3 of them in a chain and your tone goes bye, bye... I hate there buffers (even though they do have a few cool pedals)

Oh, I forgot one thing: make it digital and it wouldn't oscillate.

oh yeah, I didn't have any osc. when he made the comment
it was moderately high gain w/ nearly no sustain.
and somehow it was digital sounding to the expert :/

Hey now...
I has a hunch no one here would pass on a VB-2. Or a PN-2. Or pretty much anything else they make with a "2" in it.
But about that guy...you should compliment him for the warm analogue tones he's getting. And then he thinks he has teh buhtseks toanz. And then you push him out a window.

Was this guy at the studio, or was he living in a refrigerator box behind it, peeing on stuff?

Ah I did say they had a few cool pedals though, I wouldn't turn down the odd one, although i'd probably true bypass it.
I agree the good ones usually have a 2 in them... DM-2 aswell, Except the PS-3, I wouldn't mind one of those.
