Inspired by the4455, I'm bringing a thread back from oblivion myself. If anyone is thinking of buying one of these DON'T. I ordered one direct from Hamheart months and months ago now. He strung me along with stories of parts not coming in and bicycling accidents just long enough to get past the 45 day window for disputing transactions with paypal. My synth has never showed up and he no longer answers my emails. The last couple of people he sold to on ebay say they never got theirs either. Basically, he's a thieving douchebag.

Hmmm, that's good info, well actually bad info of course
But it's a pity for such a nice synth/noisebox

It looks like Big City Music has dumped them, too.

I'm not too surprised about that. When the Hamheart guy stopped replying to me, I got in touch with Big City Music to see if they'd had any recent contact with him. They apparently only ever made one order from him, and they did not seem too pleased about being associated with someone who was ripping people off. The thought had crossed my mind that something had happened to the Hamheart guy, but I got one of my friends to email him about getting a synth made up, and he certainly replied to that quickly enough, so he's still willing to take people's money, but not to follow through and deliver the product.

Maybe we should all call and inquire about orders and then fart in the phone. Thieving motherfucker, eat our farts!

That sounds eerily, eerily like Synthmonger. He will also steal your money, mention his accident, drop excuses (with each excuse conflicting with his last excuse)...he essentially "borrowed" money from me for four months--for an order that was supposed to be ready to ship same-day.
It took me reporting him the Better Business Bureau and threatening to call the police twice, and he finally paid me back right after tax-time. So I assume he lived off the money I sent and paid me back with his refund.
I'm editing the subject with a scam warning...people like this piss me off!

Go directly through your cc company rather than paypal for a complaint, they don't have that same expiry time..... also isn't it longer now, like 90 days anyway?

Thanks Tom, I hope that people googling Hamheart will now find this and definately not buy anything from him. That's kind of weird that you had such a similar incident with a different person. I'm not optimistic about getting my money back though. I will however follow Retinal Orbita's suggestion of going through visa, hopefully that will be more successful.
To be honest, it's not really the loss of money that bothers me. I just don't want anyone else to get ripped off and I was really looking forward to getting a cool little synth/noise box. The last email that Hamheart sent me had a picture of 'my' synth, it was real snazzy looking.

Oh yeah, supposedly he crashed his bike and ripped some skin off his hands, so he couldn't hold his tools.

In high school there was this kid that broke both his wrists at the same time when he tripped in the hallway. Bike accident is plausible but probably bullshit.
