Looks like around $500. Based on another fourm that popped up in a google search. I hope it's not that high...

If they just built the Bassmate/Guitarmate circuit, it would be a great amp.
Mm

Long day, MM? I've never seen you use a lower case 'm' before.

Why does this single-channel amp have a Master vol?
I guess they just labelled it that for whimsical reasons...

It's really neat that they've set up two completely different tube circuits for the two power modes and I haven't seen a tone bypass option on an amp before. Traynor's really stepping up to the plate.

That's so sexy! All I use are single-channel low wattage tube amps.

The tone bypass is pretty interesting, too. Hmm...this goes on my watch list!

The one I'm saving for is the Mesa Transatlantic:
http://www.mesaboogie.com/Product_Info/ ... TA-15.htmlLots of switches and knobs! It looks like it'll be the most versatile of the small size tube amps with two channels, but I read that it's going to be around $900, which is more than these other ones.

i've never actually had a 2 channel amp tho so maybe i'm misunderstanding, hah
That
is the point. I just figured they'd label it as plain old vanilla 'Volume', instead of Master. The 'Master' label makes me think of two channels, with independent volume controls and a Master volume knob as a leash to keep 'em in line, like a Mesa or a Marshall or even like some of the other models in the Traynor line.
Here's a good example of what I mean... the Mesa Transatlantic:

Notice that there's a volume for the clean channel, a gain for the dirty and a master to even it all out.
Doesn't really matter, in the end. It was just something that popped out to me as I was looking at that pic.
The Transatlantic has an incredible amount of options... at $900 though, I'd sooner go with a full size amp.

A friend of mine has the Iron Horse and loved it so much he bought the Dark Horse. So there's that vote of confidence.

i have the pico since november 10...
right now my favorite amp at home.
pico is "self biasing": so you can use 6V6, 6L6, KT66, EL34 (almost any octal based tube with the same pin layout as the mentioned). the darkhorse is not capable of this.
I think, the pico is good, if you are having fun with tube experiments (and tube hunting on ebay). and for the price it is an awesome amp to me.
