I saw this simple recipe on Good Eats the other day, and I bought the sardines to try it.

I fucking hate sardines.
I hate it even more when you want a slice of pizza but it's all sardines and you try to pick them off but no matter how hard you try to ignore it the taste of sardines is left behind.

You know, I've never actually seen a pizza with sardines on it... I've always thought that was a Ninja Turtles exclusive.

Sardines are Pilchards aren't they? not Anchovies... i've never eaten Pilchard but hell do they look & smell nasty in those tins... not that I eat fish anyway but I can atleast appreciate some fish.

Sardines are basically any small fish. Herring, brisling, pilchard, whatever.

Anchovies, Sardines, Bunker, Mullet, Menhaden, Silversides = fish bait.
Good for catching bigger better tasting fish, eaten only for survival.
Actually sardines, anchovies and herring get fairly large, over a foot long.
