SO today i was playing and decided to shorten my strap a bit, and then all of a sudden I was totally fretting and tremolo picking at seizure speed! Something so simple... MADE DA PLAYIN BETT@!!!!

I prefer to keep my guitar so it blocks the crotch area. You never know when someone will run up on stage and punch you in the dick.

Yeah, I play with my guitar embarassingly high on my torso, but it's so comfy that way. I do play around knee high when I bust out the air bass though.

Might be something to it. Tom Morello always has his guitar up pretty high.

I started doing that a couple of years ago when I decided to work on my technique more; I'd been gigging more at the time and breaking at least a string at every gig).

When I play gigs I still have my guitar lower down, but practicing with it higher improves your playing massively.

i have always had my guitars sort of high up...

it always felt more natural for me...
