I remember there was a good bit of pooing on Boston in that best/worst city thread but I already have a trip booked there for February so if there's some cool stuff to see/do on a Saturday day/afternoon please let me know. Also maybe some good eats would be good to know too. I'm a pizza guy by heart but I will take any and all suggestions. Thank you!

The city's okay as long as you don't drive. The place is a black hole for cars.

If you like boat rides, there's a cheap commuter ferry that's kind of nice.

Boston rules, I lived there for 6 years (I'm in RI now). What are you looking to do? The Middle East, across the river in Cambridge, is a great place to see local/indie music (two stages, has a ton of bands playing every night). As for restaurants, let me know what kind of food you like and I'll give you my favorites. For general bar-hopping, Boylston St/Copley Sq is where all the trendy clubs are, and Harvard Sq for the best college crowds. Fanueil Hall is touristy and lame.

I don't plan on driving, although a ferry doesn't sound too bad!

We're going up there for a beer fest, so as much as I would love to find a nice bar to hang out in I probably won't look for anywhere strictly bar, but good food would be appreciated. Pizza is my favorite, but just about anything would be cool. I think we'll be out and around Saturday during the day and part of Sunday, probably looking for someplace to get lunch. Actually if you know any awesome breakfast places or places that do breakfast all day that would be pretty awesome.

The best pizza is definitely in the North End, which is Boston's Little Italy. There are dozens of places, and they're all great, just walk up Hanover St and pick one. You'll need to take a cab, as there is no subway stop there, but its totally worth it. As for breakfast, the Paramount is in the neighborhood where you'll be, and is famous for its breakfast, but you will have a bit of waiting in line. It's worth it though, the food is great.

I recommend avoid wearing a Yankee's hat.

No advice, but Boston is pretty awesome. I really hope I get into Emerson College.
