hmm. interesting. nothing definite springs to mind... sounds like a p bass... you might be able to get something like that out of a Sansamp RBI or BDDI with scooped mids, high drive and presence settings, and plenty of dry blended in... sounds like some kind of blend may be at work, in-studio or otherwise...
