you'll be fine,
3 months ago i had a mechanical valve replacement in my heart(it was a birth defect that was only picked up this year, and im 32

), got opened RIGHT UP (autopsy styles but straight line not a "Y"

) . a couple of months before surgery, when i found out i would be needing surgery i looked up on youtube to see how they get into the chest
needless to say i was expecting the worst, but it wasnt that bad, i was surprised at how little pain i was in considering (i had just had my breastbone sawed in halve

)
now 3mths later and i feel better than i have in years

yeah im just gutted im not allowed anymore tats (any infection in the blood can go straight to the valve now), as i wanted a "zipper" up the scar
here i was 3 days after surgery (yes i was still doped up a bit

)

Positive vibes... sent!
That's so awesome that you're making positive steps. Songs are definitely in order once you're all healed up. Make sure that you're stocked up & prepped for rest, though. Are you allowed ice cream and tea with honey as post-surgery treats?

Good luck! Fuck any head pains though, it'll be good to have her there. But...
Can she build pedals?

No, but she can make a cozy for them!
Actually, a pedal with a tight knit around the enclosure could be interesting.

It will be a piece of cake
When I was 14, I had major thoracic surgery. I was on a Naval hospital ward with all these dudes who were mangled in Vietnam. I had no reason to complain.
In 5 years I bet you will hardly remember the bad bits

All the very best!
I have had one surgery in my life, a tonsillectomy. Anaesthesia was actually fairly nice. I felt quite happy for a few seconds and then I was asleep

Sending you good vibes, Dev. I'm freakin excited to hear the results! I've only been under once, for my wisdom teeth (all 4 were severely impacted, so they had to break them in my jaw before they removed them, and decided to put me under for that, thank god) and it wasn't that big a deal, it was just disorienting.
