I've always wanted to learn a bunch of jazz chords and then use them for other types of music. mainly shoegaze.

Pat Martino is WAY legit. The fact that he had to completely re-learn how to play after his brain surgery...so crazy. I couldn't imagine forgetting how to play guitar after so many years.

yeah, it is hard to believe that happened. he woke up and had no idea who he was much less how to play. it is amazing that he was able to reteach himself, and when you listen to his recordings post recovery you would never think anything ever happened to him.
if any of yalls have never heard any pat martino, get with it! he absolutely tears the 12 string apart on desperado. he plays it on the whole album.
if eastern music is your bag check out fire dance. the album came out in the late 90's and is out of print, but that is some of the most beautiful music i have ever heard.

That's what I've done. I don't remember what they are but I do remember the shapes. new chords are fuuuuuunnnnnnnnnn
