"A Song For a Son", as premiered on spinner

I'm actually liking this a lot. Sounds much warmer than Zeitgeist did, and has a bit of a simliar vibe to the "American Gothic" EP.

this is what I've been waiting to hear for months, the start of "Teargarden by Kaleidyscope"...

I think it's really bad.
I hated Zeitgeist, all 15 different versions of it.
I don't hear anything really new or shocking about it, except that it doesn't sound like The Pumpkins that everybody actually liked, instead of tolerating.
To be honest, even the badass guitar solo sounds ripped off of Prince's awesome style.. To my ears, though.
And to be fair, I can't play like Prince. Dude's completely insane at guitar. But I'm glad that Billy Corgan can.

My opinions, of course. I don't mean to rain on anybody's parade or anything, I'm just saying that I'm very disappointed in BC.
I'm glad somebody likes it, though. I'm sure one day BC will write a song that I like again. This is not the one for me, though.

I think it's kinda boring, very classic rock kinda vibe.
But it's Billy. As much as I want to hate you, I can't.

Guitar solos! Holy poo!

I second the "classic rock" comments. The harmony guitars are cheesy, the melody is eh, and yeah, the guitar solo sounds entirely too normal - the great Corgan solos are virtuosic, but very very melody-focused AND noisy.

Okay the synth just came in. Fuck this shit.

Wow! What super clean production on that track. I think it's a great song and the guitar solo rocked!
