i love itunes, but if i can use this songbird for ipod it sounds a little more user friendly.

i dont buy anything from itunes except iphone apps. i use it to put songs on my phone and burn disks for my car.

i like it better than windows media player, but that aint saying much!

does songbird convert music files as well. looks like only songbird 1.0 will run on my CPU.

I use itunes, I think I have songbird. It just seems like it's trying to be itunes and isn't much different, I used to use it for searching for mp3s on the internet until I found out google will do that for me and that that function doesn't work anymore.

I remember it was useful to rip songs off of my ipod.

itunes the program: I like the file conversion and management, but as with all "i" products there is always "something' that makes you go kind'a cross eyed, usually the way they "save" files and make fucking copies of everything I have also notice that over the years some of the "i" programs have actually decreased the abilities of what the programs do, imovie particularly, the first gen of imovie was the best, after the first gen it's been going down hill in ability while looking cuter...

itunes the store: I hate it the mp3 quality sucks big time, I have a friend [ok, he is a drummer...] that keeps buying shit from them, some of it he already has on CD and vinyl and tape, and the sampling on all the itunes stuff particularly on older stuff for some reason just sucks, sucks big steamy monkey balls, even compared to when you take the CD of the same song and make your own mp3 in itunes at the lowest setting

You can alter the settings to keep it from doing the copying shit all over the place in preferences.

For PC I use Winamp for my mac I just stick with itunes. I will say it runs way worse on a pc. but I don't notice any problems on the mac.

I like the quality of the itunes plus stuff. I just buy stuff from there because I'm too lazy to download another program and I only ever use torrents/download illegally f I lost some paid for music. Perhaps I should get this songbird thing.
