SCREW ALL OF YOUR FOOD THREADS, HOW ABOUT A DIET THREAD?

Is anyone else here on a diet? Goddamn it, all of these pizza threads makes me want to light myself on fire.
So who else here is dieting? Are you following a specific diet or just cutting down. How far away from your goal are you?
I'm doing weight watchers with my wife. We did it for about 15 months a few years ago, and I lost 90 pounds and she lost 50. Then we were off the diet for 2 years and I only gained back 6 and she only gained back 10.
On this new second session of the diet, we've each lost 8 pounds the last two weeks. My new goal is 30 pounds away, and hers is about 40.

Uh, I'm dieting for vanity reasons..as in I want muscles, so I just forced on healthier eating habits for the fuck of it along with working out. Can't say it's for any other reason :S I don't really eat junk food anymore..only when I'm too lazy to or whatever to cook something...but I don't care much for junk food anymore. It taste funny to me D;

I've actually lost between 30-pounds since the summer started, my diet hasn't changed much except for not eating as much.

Nah, apologies not needed at all. I just felt like my flesh was crawling, logging on here and seeing all the food threads. Dietz iz hard, G!
I just figured we could have our sad, pathetic little food version of an emo clique in the midst of all this yummy pizza conversation.

big chief, you never heard of the pizza diet???
congrats on the weight loss to you and the missus big chief! i lost 30lbs in the first 3 months of 2008 eating a little better and tread milling 2-3 times a week. for me it was not so much the meals, but the beer and chips and soda and the lack of physical activity. 3 square meals and healthy snacking like apples, bananas, almonds, pistachios, and baby carrots with exercise really helped me...
i have gained 10 of those lbs back in the last year so i had better stop the six pack a night and start up that wii fitness again. i could use to lose 50lbs myself...
my question to all of you is what is more difficult, dieting and reading about food or logging into this place every day and trying to pay rent???

I was trying to exercise and cut down on snacking, but the cold weather and holidaze fucked that all up. Lost 5 lbs just by exercising moderately for 30 mins 1 - 5 days a week this summer (I meant to do 5 days a week, but it ended up more to the 2 - 3 days end of things)... then gained back 3 pounds by before Thanksgiving. Haven't stepped on a scale since, but I'm betting those last 2 lbs are back...

I just started running like a mother fucker and not eating for a while afterwards. It's working great! I really love the flatbread bbq chicken pizza at Quiznos, just ask for half the cheese and you got an amazing low-fat meal.

yeah i wanted to exercise 5 days a week. have two days rest. kind of hard to do. at this point i really want to just focus on my stomach and cardio. if i could do 50 jacknife crunches, 100 bicycle kicks and 200 incline-stomach-crunches a day, i would be happy. & run once a week and bike once a week.
i think my diet is fine. i just need to stay disciplined & exercise more.

Obviously, there are some ppl that are just plain obese but I really feel that if more ppl just did some regular excercise, ie: riding a bike to work, jogging to the grocery store or whatever, they'd be fit and healthy. Maybe I'm an exception, but my main mode of transportation is the shoelace express, followed by my bicycle and longboard, in that order. I generally eat whatever I want, whenever I want (within reason) and I never gain or lose more than 5 lbs... I've been the same weight for the last 6 yrs or something.
