I exposure is really limited. I've eaten at Uno's. I loved it, but I thought i was gonna explode after eating a 3/4 of a personal sized pizza. Other than that, we don't have a good deep dish place around these parts.

Armond’s is about the best around here.
The one in Silver Spring on Georgia ave between the beltway and 16th is great.
They opened a delivery up here in Olney which is almost as good.
They make a great white pizza.

I pretty much agree with you on this. Piece is very good for beer and pizza. I prefer thin crust to thick crust. I realize that this is sacrilegious for a native Chicagoan. But that's life. For Chicago thin crust, I prefer Marie's on Lawrence Avenue. There is also a place near my house called Villa Nova that makes fantastic thin crust.

After 6 years in Chicago I've decided to come down against Chicago pizza. If I want a block of cheese, I will acquire one.

Anyone ever been to Great Lake? Located in Andersonville near Chicago, declared by GQ to be the best pizza in the US.
Run by my childhood friend, Nick Lessins, from Detroit, along with his wife, Lydia, also from Detroit. I'll let you draw your own conclusions about which city I think has the best pizza
