What Fuzz for me?

Hey could you guys help me choose a fuzz? I'm trying to get a sound like Japandroids, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, and the Depreciation Guild. My budget is $150 and I'll be playing into a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe.

I know Kip said his fuzz was made to sound like Smashing Pumpkins, so you could get a Rocket, or just a Big Muff. You could always ask the bands what they use...

kip uses a big muff.
depreciation guild use (if i remember correctly...) lots of boss pedals, an ac booster, perhaps an mxr dist+ ?

Would a russian or usa one be better? Also, would it be worth getting one of the green sovtek ones?

if i'm not mistaken, kip uses a little big muff with an LPB-1 after it. those are housed together in a plexi enclosure that his friend made for him...
everyone has their personal opinions about which big muff is the "best", i say just get whatever you can get your hands on for cheap and give it a try. you can always get another!
