hey everyone, im a synth player whos looking to get into fuzz. Im trying to decide between a couple pedals namely the bass big muff and the hyperion. I've hear with the hyperion theres a loss in low end and alot of the parts im playing are in lower registers so thats pretty important. But the demos ive seen of the BBM make it seem sorta tame in comparison. Also any other pedal suggestions would be awesome. Thanks!

I REALLY want a Malekko B:assmaster, or a Black Cat Bass Octave. Tons of bottom, clean blend. Attack options.

My 303 clone loves the Hyperion 2 more than any fuzz I've owned.

I think the OK works really well for line level instruments be they drum machines, synths, or samplers. If you use it with line level units you don't need a booster in front of it and can easily create glitchy stuttering fuzz by playing with the units volume slider or knob. Its the only fuzz pedal I can ever see myself owning, plus the white LED is blindingly bright. You might not want it though if your really worried about retaining low end.

BIT is crazy and very bassy and loud. I've used my TBD (disaster fuzz circuit) on many basslines from my synth as well....cherry pop also comes to mind, w/ the tone control u can go from very low to scrambly highs.

This. I love running drum and synth bits into the devi ever ok. The Rocket can also create some truly fucked up sounds but the OK is a great start. I'd imagine the Bit makes some sweet sounds as well.

B:assmaster or Cherry Pop are awesome for anything bass-y. Also, I'm a big fan of signal splitting - a Y splitter doesn't cost that much, so you could easily send one out into a cheap EQ (to take out some of the splatter-causing lows), then into a hype or other awesome fuzz, and then either into another y-splitter or a cheap mixer to reunite the signals to go into an amp... a cheapie mixer might be the best option...

The sag/bias knobs just give you so much control over the decay and oscillation, I love it!

in my experience, a fuzz with a control for the input level will usually work well. lots of different timbres available when you change how hard you're hitting the fuzz and you have a pretty wide range with a synth, especially analog.

the input control helps so that when you turn on the fuzz, you don't need to quickly change your volume on the keyboard... that is if you need to turn the fuzz on/off...
