Other than the obvious aesthetic differences, do any of you feel that the older 40v wall wart bastards sound better than the newer 9v guys? I wonder about the Graphic Fuzz and the Frequency Analyzer, as i have both in my HUGE ass pedalboard right now... downsizing might have to happen soon.

I think they've internally improved the power section of the new pedals, they're probably pretty much simmilar designs apart from the flawed old power section.

You will get different sounds out of the old compared to new units but I think the new units will be pretty good in comparisson, EHX tries pretty hard to stick to the designs of there vintage pedals with there reproductions.

Also i'm guessing those vintage units aren't true bypass, the new ones probably are or atleast have better buffers, those are pretty rare pedals you have though I think... don't see or hear much about the 40V models...

So they are, that'll teach me for not looking them up, in that case, as I said EHX try hard to keep pedals the same so i'd imagine it will sound simmilar but in a smaller enclosure and it is true bypass if your original is not.
