Hey everyone I saw Mastodon and Dethklok last night at the Boston House of Blues and it was an awesome show.....Mastodon was amazing!!!! The other bands that played were high on fire and converge......they were also good performers.....anyone go to this show or any on the tour????? What did you think? oh yeah one of the techies for Mastodon was wearing an Old Town Music t-shirt....pretty cool!!!!

I saw Mastodon on the Blood Mountain tour with Priestess. That was a great show.

I was just talking with a buddy of mine about the Mastodon/Dethklok tour. I'd love to go but am a little afraid that seeing Dethklok live would kinda ruin the cartoon for me. The cartoon is just too good and I'd hate for to loose any zazz.

I would hate to get punched in the face by metalheads.

My friend went to one of those shows a few days ago, I can't remember what he said about it though.

I went to a show during that tour too I though Priestess was pretty good live. The Dethklok show is done to kind of hide the band if you're not in front on the floor you don't really make them out especially with the metalocalypse videos going on on the big screen behind the band.

I've seen Mastodon a couple times now.
Last time I saw them they played all of Crack The Skye.
So killer. Brann playing double bass rolls while singing backup (and some lead) blew me away.
I want to see them again, but the closest they're coming is San Jose, which is about an hour and a half away.
Don't really feel like driving that far.

the show was fucking incredible

i saw the show two weeks ago at the aragon ballroom in chicago! mastodon was filming for a dvd release at a later date. they were awesome, but not as good as they were when i saw them at the metro back in april.

high on fire is awesome and i wished that converged was not there so high on fire could have played longer. i did not care for converged at all, and i have seen high on fire on the art of self defence and surrounded by thieves tours. matt pike is great!

dethklok was awesome. the guys were in front of the stage so you could see them no problem. mike keneally is ridiculous! hey, he played with zappa on his last tour in 1988. see make a jazz noise here and best band you never heard in your life! also check out mike keneally and beer for dolphins!!!

the line wrapped all the way around the building so i missed high on fire

but i got to catch converge which was awful.

and that's when i learned the sound in hammerstein fucking blows.

Mastodon was amazing i'm in love with crack the sky, not so much the older shit. The sound was really bad though for most of the set, you couldn't hear any bass.

Dethklok was weird it made me feel uncomfortable.

really? when i went the sound was actually really good.

the bass was clear, and the only problem i had was that the vocals were a bit low, but that's more because troy goes apeshit when he's singing.

In Boston HOB you could feel the bass in your chest!!!!
