Oh, the pain.

Today, I received my Red Panda Bitcrusher Line 6 ToneCore module ( ), as well as a package from MF containing what I thought was a ToneCore dock with an overdrive module included. Except it wasn't. Like a dummy, I had neglected to read on the Musician's Fiend description that said (despite the misleading graphic) I was only buying the overdrive module, and that the dock wasn't included.

So now I have a totally awesome module with nothing to play it through. Alas.

But Musician's Friend is letting me return the overdrive module for credit, and they're sending me a dock now... so hopefully I'll get it by Friday or Saturday. Hopefully.

Argh. That'll teach me to read the frigging description when I make a purchase.

I repeat:

I know - thought I was getting the deal of the century, getting a tone dock and module (that I wasn't going to use) for $30. Ah, well... that'll teach me to read the product description ALL THE WAY THROUGH before ordering.

Damn! This simultaneously eases my pain... and causes me more, because I can't do that right now!

Maybe I'll buy a dock from GC today, and return it when the one from MF arrives...

Those dirty rats! Really, the graphic was deceiving. Some of the modules were shown solo, some were shown in the docks. That one was shown in the dock. Easy mistake to make...

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd the end of the story is as I was guessing it would be: they don't know how anyone got the dock and the module for $30, they can find no evidence that any were shipped out that way, they've only been sold separately, blah blah blah and so on and so forth.

Sigh. Oh well - at least the dock is still on its way...

This just brings up my old resentment at MF from when I bought my Hyperion from them, and it arrived without the candy!

As for HCFX: Either that, or someone at MF made a big mistake.

Nah, the operator was actually pretty nice. She's not the one who sold me the pedal, so I was cool about it.
