Does ILF concur?
Thoughts on it, mostly I want to know about it's iffy bypass and that stuff people complain about... Is it worth it?

The ability to self-oscillate just by holding down on the pedal seems pretty cool.

I like it but I've decided to get rid of it as I've gotten a TC Electronic Nova System to replace all time based effects and modulation.
I like it best on clean tones.

When I saw the Meat Puppets live, Curt was using one and it sounded cool.

It has some interesting settings but if you really want it to be worth the money, attach an expression pedal
The reverb is pretty nice if you don't already have a decent reverb pedal. And even if you do, the reverb has a flavor of its own so it's not useless.
Just don't think of it as a substitute for a real space echo - it has its own unique thing going on.

It's very nice, I second buying the expression pedal as I've heard that the oscillation you hear from holding down the footswitch is just a sample. But that's not to say it won't go crazy from twiddling the knobs though.

one of the few things from Boss i wouldn't mind having. really it is the only thing i can think of that i would want from Boss, although i would prefer to get a used one. i would get it & then wait 'til a Roland Space Echo RE-201 came around for a decent price. then i would probably keep the RE-20 & then use it for live stuff or whatever & leave the RE-201 at home.
anyway i concur !!!
