how do you like it? I've been trying to decide between getting one of these or a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe

Hot Rod Deluxe wont have nearly as much clean headroom, and the tone will be much more brittle.

I will say that I like the Hot Rod Deluxe much better than the Hot Rod Deville! I used to have a 4x10 Deville, my fiance used to have the 2x12 Deville, and my roommate has the Deluxe. Out of the three, the Deluxe blows them all out of the water.

My roomate has a deluxe. He agrees, Twin Reverb > Deluxe.

He plays a Jaguar HH and a Tele, and loves him some brightness.

Now this amp is bright. The deluxe is in fact probably a bit brighter, but the twin's reverb is TENFOLD of the deluxe. Well maybe not tenfold, but this amp has the best reverb of any amp, ever.

You start getting into the headroom around 5 on the V knob, and at that point it's plenty loud. 5 on this = 9 on my 40w Dr. Z Prescription and at that point the prescroption is pretty broken up. So yeah, it's loud.

basically i would take this amp over any amp in the world.

I like it. A friend of mine had a silverface just like that one. No fun to carry though.

Great amp tons of clean head room and fantastic tone.

Fattone you’re just too wimpy to be a bass player.
