even when there are special edition ILF Arc Flashes and discontinued Spectacular Aenimas? The money will go quickly, damn skippy, I just want to use strategery so I don't miss out on anything awesome.

I would think you'd HAVE to go for one of the custom dual devis. I was just about to buy one before she agreed to build me something else instead. I think a dual pedal with a Hyperion in it would be awesome. Like maybe Hype -> Bit or Hype -> OK ?

in a way that is kind of my point. of course you already have some stuff i currently want so shit the decision would be all the more EASIER if i had what you had. i do agree w/ yr. strategery move: buying stuff that will likely be discontinued now and then buying stuff you know will be around and in-stock later is a good strategery. unless of course the "discontinued" pedal magically becomes available vis a vis another
cough pedal manufacturer or shows up on ebay or another guitar forum.
but yeah i wouldn't mind an Arc Flash and a SP-AE but those are actually a bit further down my own gear wish list.

Yeah, personally I think that Bit > OK would be INSAAAAAAAANE, but he did say that he was interested in feedback loops. Given that requirement, I'd go with the TBD or SP-AE.
OR - ooh, and this is good - just get the joystick mangler ($95!), and two artifacts that you're interested in (like say, a Bit & OK), and then you've got it all covered: loop, fuzz and mangle!

i think the SP-AE is such an criminally under-rated, atypically-sounding Devi Ever pedal, although soon EVERYONE & their mama is going to be clamoring for a TBD. so. yeah. that is a tough decision. a tough SUBJECTIVE decision....

word. thank you all!
i just realized anyway, i'm probably the only person in beaumont that goes fuzz hunting the way i do, so i'll probably be the only one to acquire the SP AE, and being a Jack Nicholson fan, i have to say- "This town needs an AENIMA!!!" i think i've found my answer.
it's looking like Spectacular Aenima & ILF Edition Arc Flash!!!

So far, my bank account has dropped $274, so I'm not in a good spot to report my level of satisfaction. I'm trusting it takes more than ten minutes for the products to arrive...
SUPER STOKED!!!
Yeah, next payday, I'm predicting a Mangler, AB Synth, Bit kind of weekend.
Fuzzhugger.com is officially my new favorite site!!!

I'd look for cool used shit for under $100 each in the buy/sell forum here, on HC, thegearpage, and on e-bay.

just also ordered my chk chk boom. at some point, i'll buy some used gear, but seeing devi's webcam, as she's building pedals for people, made me really enthusiastic about supporting her and tom and lawrence and anyone else who commits themselves to something awesome. hand wiring awesome pedals is, to me, as badass and important as getting in a truck with the band and driving 4 hours to play in shreveport, louisiana, which is what my band just got home from.
i may stay broke for a while, but my sound will be far from cookie-cutter, thanks to people who work hard to share what they love.

never been to Louisiana but i have heard good things about Shreveport.
anyway. i KNOW what is like to be broke after spending your last dime on a pedal. the way i see it though, or my rationale, is all the money i squandered on beer or a nite out on the town or whatever and i basically have nothing to show for it except a few fleeting memories and bunch of war stories that only sound good either in a dive bar or in an AA meeting, well shit from now on those dollars can go to pedals cuz those ain't going nowhere but those 2 $5 pitchers of Pabst & the tip for the bartender and then maybe a shot or two put another tip plus the damn cover and then the drive home and the late-nite stop at Krsytals i mean shit goddamn LOL...
