Hard to discuss the disgusting without discussing it.

But I guess some are too busy disguising their pedalboards with the hope of shutting down any potential conversation before it starts.

I still peek in at TGP occasionally, and it is hilarious that you can't discuss tariffs but there is a million page P&W pedal thread.

i only ever go there when i get a hit on a Google search on a technical question, because i twigged pretty quickly that it’s exactly the kind of forum culture i can’t stand. it reminds me of my brief sojourn into Let’s Talk Guild, which ended when i was reprimanded for noting that Greil Marcus’ Lipstick Traces entirely erases the Situationists’ Marxian tendencies. i asked “so if someone posted that Elvis was a Nazi i couldn’t say ‘no he wasn’t?’” apparently so. i fucked right off after that. that forum was useless for anything but wanking off over classic Guilds anyway…the boffins were completely unable to answer simple questions about e.g. construction of new models. i don’t love wallowing in politics, but as Joe Strummer once sang, “you must deal with it…it is the currency.”
