I felt compelled to start a little appreciation thread for this builder. I don’t see too many BC boxes for sale in the US, but I know a number of folks here are across the way in Europe and maybe there’s interest there too.

What I’ve got:

Fuxi - a Klon copy. Two internal dip switches offer a higher head room diode selection, and a ‘lowered mids’ mod that lowers the center frequency of the klon’s midrange bump. After trying a handful of Klon copies this one has been a keeper and I love both of the mods offered.

Black Emperor - based on Juliusz’ favorite Black Russian muff, I think the values in this were selected from a few different sovteks both green and black. While I’m not a muff person I LOVE this one, it offers both really gorgeously balanced fuzzstortion and very extreme (heavy) tones. Something about it feels….luxurious or indulgent. I got in on a limited run of acid-etch and it’s a gorgeous pedal aesthetically too, but now I want to try his mini version that has a Rat’s tone stack.

Soot fuzz - this little octave fuzz has not left my board, it’s really the reason I wanted to write this post. This thing it’s nuts, it can do great lower-gain scuzzy octaves but I like it with gain above noon where it can get into sci-fi ray gun territory depending on where the knob is and what pickups your using. Have preferred it so far with PAFs or p90s, my higher output humbuckers are too much with it. I think this is permanently first in the chain for me.

Across the board, great build quality. The brand leans towards heavy tones but the pedals aren’t limited to that sound. And a super nice dude!

They got my attention with Wavefolding Reverb.

I'm not sure I love the slapback pre-delay, though.

That one looks awesome! I also think it’s very ILF somehow

Do you have the Superhigh or the Pig? I want to try one of his rangemasters.

So cool to discover a new builder like this. Will definitely check out some demos of their stuff when I'm not at a family dinner like I am now. Wave-folding reverb sounds nuts on paper. The Small Fracture fuzz is also intriguing.

I have both.
Super high is a bit more flexible. And he builds them regular.
Pig is not often build. So probably you should get in touch with him if you want one. No battery option if i recall it correctly.

I dig both. In the super high you have the pig sound and more. So maybe go that route?

Dude, BC Rich pedals are seriously underrated. I've got the Soot Fuzz too, that thing is a monster. I'm eyeing that mini Rat-style one next.

Just got the Astronomy Domine this week. Still getting used to it but it’s a keeper. I usually don’t like digital spring emulations, this one sounds very nice though.

You can dial back the tone on both wet and dry, and then put a treble boost on the ‘verb only. I’m not sure in which order those gain stages are routed, but it helps the reverb to get along with some of my brighter fuzz pedals without getting all muddy, or like thin plinky tin, which is my usual complaint with belton reverbs (actually don’t know if this is a belton but it sounds in that family IMO).

It’s a great preamp / distortion with the ‘verb dialed all the way off. And as a clean reverb it’s also really great.

The super dirty, wave-folding reverb sounds are really unique, nothing I’ve tried comes close to them. If a non-adjustable pre-delay is an issue for you, you might have a harder time with those settings….it’s a far more versatile pedal than the Meteore, but it shares that same pre-delay.

There’s a ton of sounds to be found, in that regard it’s way more than I was expecting to find!
