Footswitch to control DAW controls

Hey all,
I have a tight recording space, meaning I literally have a tight little space in the corner of a room, not that it's flashy.
I'm running reaper and I'm finding the whole record a guitar track and trying to start/ stop the recording is a major pain in the ass for me. I'm usually wrapped in chords, have a chair behind me, not the ideal setup. I'm looking for a stompbox styled controller that I can control basic functions with. Preferably bluetooth. Saw something on sweetwater but it seemed way more than I needed and looked like a plastic pile of shit. Any suggestions for a foot controller?
