Any suggestions for a "standard size" stereo delay pedal? Something with ping pong, or just a way to set different ms per side, would be neat—or just some delicious modulated stereo delay. Basically, I just wanna know if there's something more exciting I should be considering than BOSS RV-6 or DD-3 for my compact slowcore board. All those fancy P&W-core pedals are too big.

Came here to say raster 2 also. cant go wrong with the regular bosses tho. Matt Weed uses his DD7 for wide stereo delays

Been considering the DD-7, yeah. And looking at the Raster 2, I'm thinking "this is too much for me". And if that's the case—well, then, what do I expect? If I want more than the DD-7, but then my immediate reaction to "more" is "this is too much", I guess I should just get the DD-7… IDK. It's good to hear about options anyway, so thanks.

EDIT: I actually mean the DD-8. It seems to have a less crazy "Modulate" setting. Love the sound of the DD-7 Modulate, but it's way too much for this band.

Digitech Obscura? No ping pong, but it’s a nice little stereo delay that sounds great.

I’ve been looking at the Keeley Halo but have no experience with it. People seem to like it though.

Walrus D1 demos out really bland but I’m guessing can do this no problem. (I’ve heard usage of the modulation pedal in the series that leads me to think the series may be less bland in serious use than it is with the demo guys.)

Unfortunately the Digitech compact stuff won’t give you ping pong. Great pedals, though, each of the DigiDelay, Hardwire DL-8, and Obscura. The iStomp has the “Double Cross” algorithm, but switching apps requires the 30-pin cable so even with an adapter it’s not really practical in use except as a one algorithm box.

I don't even know if I want ping pong, haha. I think I just want a proper—albeit subtle-ish—stereo width, and some—but not too much—colour. Having the option of doing more interesting things would be nice though, at least if I want to use the pedal with other bands. The Obscura seems pretty nice. I like all my DigiTech pedals. Does it have different options for what "stereo output" means? The DD-8 can switch between separate input/output (A goes to A, B to B), ultra wide, or "panned"—whatever that means.

As far as I can tell from the manual, the Obscura’s “stereo” is parallel mono—each input gets separate processing and nothing is flagging the sides as getting different complimentary processing. I’ve not used it in stereo, though, so I haven’t pushed it to reveal its secrets.

it's a boring answer, but the boss dd200 is a pretty versatile option. looks bigger than a dd-7, but with the top-mounted jacks it takes up basically the same space on a pedalboard.

i bet the raster is great too since i love the other red panda pedals, but i can't get past it's too-busy panel design. plus i really dislike alt settings if there isn't a display or some other way to check their current values.

Not sure if this fits the bill, but how about a Donner White Tape? It's stereo in/out, but each channel is a separate analog delay with separate controls. You can run them parallel or in series if you chain from output 1 into input 2.

Might not be what you're looking for but could be an option.
