Built myself a small standalone board for...reasons.

Built myself a small board for the mastering desk so I could play there if I didn't want the hassle of mics and the big room, or wanted foot control while at the console and not in the direct amp blast (which, well, may sound good on tape, but...I don't want to be in front of 120+db ugly for hours!)

Cheap, functional, efficient enough.

Not in order of appearance (maximized for space and which I want fast footswitch access to as priority.

In (usually a Warm Audio Jet Phaser feeds the board, but it's mother of huge and I wasn't wasting board space)> TC Zeus Klon(e) > Behringer HM-2 clone (which sounds better in many respects than my real MIJ HM-2) > Bogner Ecstasy Blue > Bogner Ecstasy Red > Stomping Stones Pest Tattern > RE-202 > Bogner Ubershall > board/amp/main room/whatever.

I thought about putting one of my two RE-20s on it instead, but the main room for recording/jamming has a real Space Echo already.

This covers all my essential "sound like me" items - I'd "like" other things, but I could be fine with this.

I bought that Bogner Ubershal on your recommendation - a terrific high gain monster, almost takes the fun out of buying others like it because its so good.

Yea, the HM-2/Ubershall combo is the metal tone I'd been looking for for decades. If I'd found that when I started, I never would have gone down my weirdo path I suspect.
