A) Didn't mastodon used to be a lot less...... easy?
B) The remix: I think it was not good. It doesn't seem true to the spirit of the original, nor cool enough in it's own right to be a "holy shit they really tore up that track" mutation thing. I've gone both ways on remixes. My remix of Bon Iver's Bloodbank could pretty much be an alternate studio mix. BUt when I did "SUV" with Casa Bonita, I fucking destroyed it. BUt I think in both cases the spirit shone through. Thats what i htink is most important.

after listening to it a little more it's pretty bland as far as remixes themselves go.

plus i fucking love mastodon, so this was pretty weird.
