Makes your pedals sound like shit. They sound so much more powerful going through those tubes. Even if your amp gets slightly driven, let it coat your effects with that beautiful dirt. JUST STOP BEING A PUSSY!

fx loops do not seem enjoyable for the sole fact that it needs to more cables to operate properly. the most breakable thing in the world is a fucking guitar cable

I don't know about priorities. I just have such alpha BDE that i would run a mausoleum thru a 5w amp.

the proof is in the evolution of fender's tech in the 60s

pre-64: spring tank > preamp > power amp : fucking wild, splashy, noisy, VISCERALLY alive sound, can kick the tank
post-64: preamp > reverb/trem > power amp : tame, more subtle, less wild and cool, kicking an amp is a hack move

Look up any "how to arrange effects" video or article and you'll see they'll tell you to put delays and reverbs (but sometimes phasers and flangers) in the loop, just as you would put them after dirt if you didn't have a loop.

Wow did not know that. Are there any pre-64 re-issues fender have done? Cos I heard they spec them exactly as they were. Except for maybe speakers.
