Since mr. penny pedals has dropped off the planet it was just free advertising space essentially. As Caesar said, the threads still exist, its just not worth having a forum if the owner doesn't interact with the other members.

I wouldn't even call it free advertising...you can't even buy his pedals anymore. Penny Pedals is effectively dead.

Morningstaru is right--he's unreachable, kind of dropped off the face of the earth.
I was worried something bad happened to him!

Anyway, all the threads (there were only 10 or so) were moved to the Gear and DIY sections.

I hope it's true that he's re-entering the ring, but his site still hasn't been updated since March...

I can definitely feel for someone who's had to go through crazy shit...I went through some terrible things late spring / early summer this year. I kept my sanity by keeping things running!

Anyway, of course he's welcome to come back and post here despite not having his own forum here.

First, apologies for dropping off the face of the internet. I won't get into details, but I needed time to deal with some shit. It's nothing you haven't heard before yet almost unbelievable, so I won't bother with excuses.

Thank you to everyone for the mojo and well wishes. This is the first thing I've posted on a gear related forum in a looooong time so be gentle (or not... it's cool). I went cold turkey (what the hell does that mean, anyway?) and it's gonna take a while to get back to everyone, to get back in the flow of the world.

Thank you for taking down the forum, it was the right move obviously. Hopefully I can get these burnt bridges re-built and we can go from there. Sounds like crappy song lyrics...

As far as the pedulz go, Penny Pedals will continue. there will be new designs, all sorts of new stuff. The Fingerprint WILL be made again, in it's original form and still painted by Laura... but it may not be by my hand. More details on that to come. If you are on the wait list or have asked to be, rest assured you will have the chance to buy one from me or the new builder, but you may have to reconnect with one of us. Again, details soon.

it's still a touch up in the air, but it will be sorted in the next few days. I'm going to try and go through all the emails and the old list and get the new builder rolling immediately. I'll post here when i know for sure.

it WILL be done and anyone who still wants a FP will get one soon. there will be about 20 or so available in the next few weeks, with everyone on my old wait list getting first priority. after that, it may take another few weeks to get the ball rolling but the new guy will be able to handle the Fingerprint much better than i could.

teh rawk will ensue, crowds will cheer.
