Distortion boxes with envelope follower

What's out there other than Elektron Analog Heat?

I use the DD-500 for this but not a lot of "distortions" to choose from.

Does the OTO Boum has this? I can't find it anywhere in the manual :?:

I also remember something like a "probabilistic drive" pedal that can't find anymore, not sure if it was a dream lol

Source Audio must have something, right?

Thank you all.

The new dreadbox kinematic compressor/envelope filter. It doesn’t have a lot of gain though but does have envelope out CV. Any distortion + compression has some level of envelope control (old stuff like guyatone, dod attacker, Yamaha, etc).

Midfi magic “I” has envelope control over clipping.

Holy Island super freq is a rattle crow with fuzz.

Do you want the envelope to control gain (or controlling a blend maybe), cv out, or like the eq?

Ideally, controlling whatever, but gain would be the main thing.

And thanks!! Will take a look on those.

There are other ways to do it too, but it would require more pedals and CV/exp stuff (like running an envelope LED/let setup into something like the LAL 88).

There are some pretty dynamic fuzzes that can feel envelope controlled like the pep box or the LAL Octavella too. Pep box can do some swells and stuff like that. Octavella gets more prominent oscillation and more saturation with harder hit strings. Lluna can a bit too.

The synthmonger fuzz monger had a two strange envelope with rise and fall, but I can’t say it was good or that useful (it didn’t feel like it had enough range and just the natural decay of the guitar gave a better sweep of folded harmonics).

Just remembered the chase bliss condor and brothers but I’ve never used them.

Might be better to use a blender with envelope control and two distortions in parallel (copilot portal or lightning wave doom. May require some exp/cv control).

Damn autocorrect

TWA Dynamorph and Mini Morph. I’m guessing the Source Audio Ultra Wave and likely more of their stuff.

This should be blowing my mind but it's not, although it's exactly what I'm looking for and I must buy it!

fwiw, I like separate distortion and envelope pedals. :snax: More modular that way. :idk: Perhaps not the best for controllin' the gain though.

Both of these are ugly and terribly marketed but sound pretty rad!
