weedy little pickups through transistors, diodes, valves will only become cooler as those things become more an more esoteric, and wires will always be the best way to hook that shit up!

i'd like to see future innovations in gear focused around sustainability, tbh.
transitioning to a plugin-like system selling algorithms for open-source multi-fx hubs might sound kind of lame but it would do a lot to reduce material consumption, emissions, scalping etc.
