question about foot controlled light switching

so i'm planning on getting 2-4 mounted floodlights for live shows. i'd probably stick one on each side of the drums and then one the very left of where my amps are and one to the very right. anyways, i've been looking online all night to try to find something that would be a really easy foot controller for said lights. everything i've found has said that you need a so and so controller and the foot controller was an external part of that controller. either that or it was to be used with a certain line of light products and not really for any type of lights like i'd want. i also tried looking for stuff that wasn't necessarily for lights, like a power strip where each outlet had its own footswitch, but i could only find a power strip that had just one footswitch, which may be what i'll resort to if i can't find anything else. the band, young widows, is a perfect example of this type of light switching stuff. anyone have any clue?

The only thing I can think of is slicing up the power supplies to the lights, and somehow putting a footswitch in where you cut it so it would be like a pedal.
