Eddies

I saw the demo for the EHX Eddy today. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OACrE6o ... e=youtu.be)

Attention conservation notice for those without time to view an 8min Bill Ruppert demo (with loadsa Krimson refs): this is a good-sounding BBD chorus/echo with a feature set that shows the influence of the boutique makers at half their price. If it had a fully-random setting I'd buy one in a heartbeat. I'll still likely buy it unless one of the Mid-Fi random choruses crosses my path, and that encounter seems increasingly unlikely.

Apart from the (redundant) heads-up, the point of this post is to share my amazement at the speed with which niche reanimations can now re-enter the mainstream. How long is it since chorus became a thing again?

Hmmm I'm glad you did this because now the demo is kept somewhere easier to find later. I like chorus. This has a lot of knobs and switches. That's as far as I've got so far.

I'm trying not to think about Cyberpunk, so I go on ilf and this is the thread I see. A curse on your house, good sir.

This statement is very true.
When i looked at it the first things that came into my mind are the Pradox Futura (envelope control etc) or all that long line of bbd chorus pedals that came out in the last year-s from small builders. Even if i am not a huuuge chorus fan, in the last months i found myself enjoing finding chorus-like sounds from different pedals.
I think it sounds OK, the envelope function is a nice addition but got to see how responsive it is. i don't like the graphics very much, nor the knobs or the side jacks, but it seems the new standard for ehx products, even the mainframe has the same layout.

I just realized this is almost the same as the v3 cosmi. Assuming I got the clock switch function right

I was hoping EHX would release a more tricked-out Small Clone variant at some point and will probably grab one when they're released. Probably won't bring the weird quite like a Paradox Futura, though.

I thought this was going to be an Iron Maiden thread

Umm no that would go in MUSIC, or perhaps more accurately GENERAL DISCUSSION because Eddie is in fact the mascot, and not a musician or piece of gear.
