Irrational EHX Lust Thread

Anyone got any?

I didn't realise they phased the Ravish Sitar back in. That thing has always been super fucking cool. And the new bitcrusher has... a good demo?! which has been discussed earlier. They've always made cool loopers. The 9 series looks fun? Other people like the Canyon?

Obviously there are many things people don't like about EHX (graphics, knobs, etc), but I am noticing a swell of niftiness on the breeze.

I have been tempted by all the x9 series since they came out. But I have no idea which one. And honestly they're all kinda silly and IDK if I'd like it in reality

Obligatory ravish sitar reference.

Mel9 and Mainframe. Guilty.

Ravish Sitar occasionally.

I want a Tone Tattoo so I can do unspeakably vile things to it so it understands just how disgusting it is.

I've had a Pitch Fork for years, which is usually on my board somewhere, it's currently in the loop of my Rubberneck.

I've also got an 8 Step Program which needs a new selector (which I've got - it's on my to-do list for today) and I recently picked up a Mod Rex, which I haven't had much time with but like already.

The new Pitch Fork looks interesting, and there are a few others I wouldn't object to owning.

I've got a Pocket Metal Muff in a box somewhere too, but haven't used it for a very long time.

I do like the sounds of that SRR/bit crusher.

But fuck. EHX graphics are always so eye-blisteringly bad. And literally all of their digital pedals have dodgy power supply filtering and introduce noise in your rig. I mean, bad noise. Not good noise.

The new mainframe has me gassing and I recently got their Op-amp muff for $40. I'm a fan of ehx, truth be told. I also really want their weird polyrhythm mod pedal, but not enough to seek it out.

Favorite: Mod Rex. For stereo and syncing to midi clock, yes indeed!

Haven't left my board for years: Mel9 and SuperEgo (now the +). Though now, I wish I could get extra volume out of both. I use the Mel9 flute in just about everything I do and the Superego is awesome for swelling improv stuff.

their re-issuing of every single muff was a brilliant move. Love to try an op-amp one some day

I'm selling it cos I need money right now, but the very recently new Deluxe Sovtek Big Muff with the blend and separate mids switch is... whisper it... my favourite fuzz pedal of all time. And god have I played a lot of fuzz pedals. Love the Supergo + too. Whoever they have brought in to inject a bit of modern magic into their output over the last few years should be given a very nice, warm hug and a kiss on the cheek. When I put a new board together, I'll be considering way more of their pedals than I ever thought I would.

I think my very first really stand alone pedal that wasn't some multi effect POS was the Stereo Memory Man with Hazari - I still think about that box (stupid gas).

LOTS of good shit from EHX - Ravish Sitar, HOG2, POG, POG2 (which I owned, really bad ass) Cathedral (owned really good reverb, thinking about it wish I had kept it )

I agree the graphics are not the best but they make some cool ass shit.
