Just got this fuzz.
Love it!
Wondering if anyone knew or if builder tom could explain the basis for this fuzz (mosrite or fz1)?

Looking to use it for 60s fuzz or spaghetti western like the merkin fuzz

I definitely got the spaghetti western vibe from it! No idea what it's based on though, great sounding fuzz

I don't think any of Tom's stuff is based on established old fuzz circuits.

Suneater kvlt!

It's based on the older Velcroar fuzz Tom did back in the days, it had this wonderful chorus like chime to long held notes. And gated nasty ripping velcro fuzz tone. The new life of the reworked circuit as Suneater got a this more trebly edge that can remind of the Fz1 in some of the very best spaghetti western soundtracks ever made.

Yeah the Suneater really reminds me of that sort of vintagey spaghetti western tones!

Bring back the Velcroar!!!!!

i have a Velcroscillator, but i liked the stand-alone Velcroar i used to have better. it was a bit more defined. i didn't know the Suneater was related.

I have not, but now I wanna.

I think it's telling that after all my forays into fuzz, I still lust for a straight up, non-oscillating Suneater because I know it will please me whenever I pick it up.

I've done suneater + velcroar, or double velcroar, but never a double suneater
