Hey, love the mini pedal. I want to use it with my eurorack synth. Can I use the pedal directly or should I go through an attenuator/amplifier module like the ALM SBG or the Strymon AA?

With outputting eurorack signals to guitar pedals (or pretty much any other gear) you might be ok if you just use an attenuator within your rack to cut the level right down before output, but I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DOING THIS. You're MUCH safer using a dedicated output module. Euro levels can be really hot compared to most things, especially instrument signals like guitar, so they might do damage if not attenuated properly.

The in/out modules you've mentioned look fine, other examples, I think Malekko and 4ms also make small in/out preamp modules. I use a Xaoc Sewastopol because it also has other fun functions like an envelope follower.

Thanks for the response, coldbrightsunlight. This is how I typically handle guitar pedals on eurorack. Wanted to ask Brian about this particular pedal because he mentions on the product description that the pedal can be used for keys, which are line level. Wanted to see what voltages he designed the pedal to accept/output and what he’s tried.

I've never killed any pedals with line level haha so I'm sure it's fine. But I have no idea about this specific one, soz.

I've definitely tried all the SSBS pedals I've had with synths and they're good. But I believe eurorack is way hotter than line level stuff a lot of the time.
