Looking for some noise making devices, fuzzes/bitcrushers/general noisy pedlols for when I feel like not playing any notes for a bit, and want to turn 'DESTROY EVERYTHING' mode on. I guess most of the DBA lineup would work for that. Any suggestons? Sorry if this is a well explored topic, but I wasn't sure what to search for

I’m a big fan of the Fairfield Unpleasant Surprise - lots of weird gated horrible tones on that one.

Also I had a loooooooooong thread about Buzz Box clones and the Mantic Hive Mind is great. I mean everyone knows the Buzz Box but the description from Mantic is “this disgusting effect pairs a fussy 2 octave down square wave with a hissing distortion and rounds out with a variable LPF” and I’m REALLY into everything happening there. I also have them next to each other in the chain right before a DOD Death Metal for some really nasty sounds.

The Fuzzhugger Sonic Shroom is what you need. It's got a footswitch that lets the pedal do the work for you when you don't want to play.

What else is on your feed?

Best thing I've ever had for this is a noise swash. Not sure how available they are, but when they pop up they normally arent expensive.

get a guitar that has a whammy that lets you divebomb and play the low strings with the whammy all the way down to get the bomb note and then play someting high up the neck with bands and release the whammy. The only thing you need is something really loud (and trebly feedbacky. higain unpotted pickups?) but pitch shifters, echo and octavers really help with the nasty but i prefer guitar abuse foremost over just having a pedal doing the fucking uping. DBA supersonic fuzzgun is awesome, regret selling mine, got an awesome noisy sound with it on bass paired with a whammy, get a clone tho dba prices are nuts. ADD/mask dark grime is really awesome too for fucked up fuzzes cause it has a filter before so you can get all the treble; really just get any fuzz and a rangemaster into a clean amp and you could get awesome results or just rangemaster into a loud dirty amp.

i am also assuming that you want to sound like norman westberg ca 1983

RM-1n. Between the drone and feedback switches, you've got two vvrrbbasfafah options in one box.

Just get a feedback looper pedal (plenty of options out there and usually cheap) and put one of your faves in the loop.
